A version 001137 of InterExcel400 has been released on our download site. The new version includes these new fields on the layout used for a new function:

Replace char in text below  *

Fixed text . . . . . . . :  ___________________________

Link for text  . . . . . :  ___________________________

The replace char is default '*' i.e. whenever a '*' is found in either the 'Fixed text' field or 'Link for text', then the text in the positions taken from the spooled file (from...to positions) will replace it. If you insert a Fixed text without a Link for text, then you insert some fixed text in the current cell. If you insert both a fixed text AND a link for text then the 'Fixed text' is shown as a link and the "Link for text" is where it is linked to. This e.g. would work:

Replace char in text below   *

Fixed text . . . . . . . :   Click here to open

Link for text  . . . . . :   http://www.interform400.com/*

In this way you can retrieve e.g. a part number from the current line and use that as a part of the URL you are linking to - or the fixed text shown. You can use this to link to a picture of the part number in this line... ;-)

A browser based user interface for InterExcel400 will be introduced soon!

A new requirement:
Another change regarding InterExcel400: Just as for InterForm400 OS400 V5R3 or higher is now required in order to install InterExcel400.
