Have you noticed that frames with a shading sometimes do not look that nice in the PDF output? The reason is, that the grey frames are created with a pattern of white and black dots and they can be visible in PDF. A way to get around that is to do this:

  1. Create the right grey color via option ‘7. Work with palette colors’ on the administration menu. For a normal grey the red, green and blue components should all be the same. The higher the number, the lighter the shade.
  2. Prior to the frame element you insert an ink element, that is using the grey color you just created.
  3. For the color shading in the frame you set it to 100% black.
  4. You should set back the ink to black right after the frame.
