Sometimes I am asked for how long time an upgrade of InterForm400 takes and how hard it is and my usual answer is: It is straight forward, but if it is a mirrored machine you should take care to prepare the upgrade: Stop all journaling of all InterForm400 – as InterForm400 will not stop journaling of any additional object that might have been added, and also stop any remote journal if connected. Then do the upgrade on both machines and then restart journaling – and remember to start journals with IMAGES(*BOTH) – as it is required by InterForm400.
