InterForm400 supports printing on ZPLII compatible label printers and customers have been using this for several years without any problems, but we have found that it can be a problem to share the same printer with other applications, as all settings that are changed during one print file are actually kept - even after the printing is done. To handle this we have until now saved the settings when starting to print and restored the settings at the end of the print, but now we have seen installations where this is not usable, so we now offer a PTF for InterForm400 to add a new configuration parameter:
PTF number |
3935 |
|
Description |
ZPL+Non-IF: Label data mixed / Labels not printing |
|
Version |
2010.M01 -2010.M05 |
|
Library |
||
|
(Please notice that this PTF is for 2010M01-2010M05 versions only)
The new option installed with the PTF looks like this:
Configure InterForm 400 APF101D 13/13 How to manage command prefixes and delimiter on Zebra printers. Zebra principle . . 2 1=Use save and restore printer configuration. (will not work correct on all printer models) 2=Set values at the end of every printout. - Control commands prefix Hex 7E DEFAULT = X'7E' (TILDE) - Format commands prefix Hex 5E DEFAULT = X'5E' (CARET) - Delimiter Hex 2C DEFAULT = X'2C' (COMMA)
So here you can choose to set the values for these control characters in the data stream - when InterForm400 is done printing (instead of saving and restoring the configuration).
To run as before you select '1=Use save and restore printer configuration.'
