You may have heard of it before. We have been working for a long time to web enable InterExcel400 and now we have finally reached the goal.

Before you download and use it you should read this carefully:

  1. This is a beta version and no support is available for this product before july 19.th. because of vacations. If you want to install the old stable version (version 001143 - without web support) you download it here: http://download.interform400.com/shares/CDs/InterExcel400.zip
  2. The application has grown quite a bit. You will need to download 64 Mb instead of around 12Mb.
  3. Performance of the System i is important as the web interface is running Java on the System i. (Where the 5250 sessions normally are running the java on the connected PC). It may run slow on older systems.
  4. Do not let many users run the web option in parallel in order to limit the workload on the System i.
  5. A user profile WEBINTER will be created when you enter InterExcel400 the first time - you will be informed. If you are already running InterForm400 this user profile does already exist.
  6. InterExcel400 is now using journaling (like InterForm400). This makes it more difficuilt e.g. to rename the library if you want to roll back to an older version. You can however use option 80, '17. Prepare for upgrade/rename of library' followed by option '1=Prepare' in InterExcel400 to stop journaling and make it possible to rename the library.

If you just want to read about it you can download the new manual here:

You can also see a small introduction movie here:

The new web version - 001144 (without support until July 19.th) is available here:

You will be informed when we do the official release of the browser interface.
