Whenever you want to preview from InterForm400 or if you want to fully use InterExcel400, then you will need to map a network drive (or add a network place), if you want to be sure that it works.

Mapping a network drive in Windows Vista can be a problem, but fortunately I have received the recipe for changing a setting in Vista (This does not work in the home editions of Vista). Use this trick at your own risk and remember to note the current value before you change it. The procedure have helped others so it is not totally wrong..

In Vista do this:

  1. Click All Programs-Accessories-Run and type secpol.msc and click OK.
  2. Verify if dialog box appears.
  3. From Local Security Settings console tree, expand Local Policies then click Security Options.
  4. In the right pane, scroll down to the setting called 'Network security:Lan Manager authentication level Properties' and double-click it.
  5. Note the current value and change it to be 'Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated'.

Now you should be able to map a network drive or add a network place.
