I have a customer in Italy, who has 70 stores, which are controlled centrally from an AS/400 server. Today the process is to print a document - and scan it after the client has signed it.

Instead of this process, the customer wants to be able to sign the document on a PAD to save time and resources. They want to use a PAD, which either has Ethernet or WIFI connection - and not USB.

Would that be something you could solve?

Hi,

We have created a "Proof of Concept" on the signature part for you.

It works on both tablets and desktop computers. The only difference is whether you have to use your finger or the mouse to write with.

After you have written your signature, you press "Export", leaving the signature stored on the AS/400 - as a PNG file. We also support JPG and BMP, which are probably more suited for InterForm.

To document the functionality you can get the signature send by e-mail, just write your or your customer's e-mail address in the field, which opens after the export.

You will find our "Proof of Concept" at http://comprendo.dk/padform/signature/.

We have developed the solution in HTML5, which is supported by most tablet computers and smartphones. If you want to show the solution on a Windows PC, you should use Internet Exporer 9, Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari (HTML5 is not supported by Internet Explorer 7 and 8).

We imagine that the final solution shows the form, which has to be signed, in the background and the signature in a small box at the bottom of the page. The button is renamed "Done" or "I hereby agree". After pressing the button the signature is saved on the AS/400 in the desired format and named with a unique reference number. Then InterForm takes over the process and merges the form with the signature - as well as printing and saving the overall result as a PDF file. Moreover, the final solution has to be protected with a login and further integration of their AS/400 ERP solution.

Hope you can use this "Proof of Concept".

Best regards,
