InterForm400 sends E-mail by use of SMTP. How can I setup SMTP?

We recommend to use InterForm400 SMTP instead of normal iSeries SMTP, as this provides much better logging and it is easier to setup.

To setup the SMTP type to use you chose this in InterForm400:

'80. Administering InterForm400' followed by '3. Configure email'.

Here you select '1=IBM SMTP' to use normal iSeries SMTP (and MSF) and '2=InterForm SMTP' to InterForm400 SMTP. Option '3=InterForm SMTP (register only)' is to be used only, if you want to send out e-mails in batch e.g. during the night via the command apf3812/sndmails.

For InterForm400 SMTP you just need to make sure that the MAILINTER subsystem is started.
