I have just installed BlueFax and can not send a fax.
I have tested the modem according to the instructions in the manual and it
works OK.
I used the "atdt" commands and typed in a phone number and I could hear that
it connected. But when I tried to send a fax, the transmission ended in error
with the message: "The system failed to connect to fax number. (Status NO DIAL
tone received from the modem)."

A reason could be that the dial tone in your country is different from what
BlueFax expects as default.
Select the line description in option 12 "Work with BlueFax configuration"
in the BlueFax menu.
You should try enter the Modem Init String:            ATX3
