I am trying to use the option 14 to send a fax. I have it set up and tied
to a database on my system to get the fax number. When my spool file comes
ready in the queue, it switches over to the fax output queue but no fax is
ever sent and it never shows up in the list when you run option 3 from
the menu.
Is there someplace where I can look for diagnostic messages?

You should try to start the trace function (F10=Trace) from option 14.
This will cause the job log in the BUILD job to be filled with trace
informations.
It is also possible to trace the process online by use of WRKXSPLF
(option 2 on the menu) locate the Spooled File and select 1 next to it.
This will cause the Spooled File Expert to run through the selected
Spooled file and pickup the information's online. And if the trace
function is switched on, the online job log will be filled with useful
trace informations.
Please remember to switch off the trace function when the problem is
solved.

check the upper right corner in the "Work with Expert Input formats"
program.
